Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN) urges fellow Democrats to reject the earmark-filled $410 Omnibus Appropriations Act in Wednesday’s Wall Street Journal. Bayh also calls on the President to veto the bill if it passes through Congress. Article here.
Bayh echoes the sentiment of Tea Partiers and other average Americans, fed up with government’s feeding frenzy.
“Now is the time to win back the confidence and trust of the American people. Congress should vote “no” on this omnibus and show working families across the country that we are as committed to living within our means as they are.”
The senator just needs a few members of his own party to join him.
Update: Here’s another!
My own Senator, Russ Feingold, has come out swinging against the Spending Bill.
