"Joe the Plumber" challenges Obama on "Spreading the Wealth"
“You can’t sell principles; either you have them or you don’t.”
That was “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher’s message Saturday to a group of 800 at the “Defending the American Dream” Summit, held by the conservative group Americans for Prosperity.
Congressmen Paul Ryan and Jim Sensenbrenner also spoke to the group, gathered in Milwaukee, WI, about conservative principles and grass-roots activism.
Sensenbrenner, a 30 year veteran of the House of Representatives, sees Obama’s early economic policies as the most
“unbelievable spend-a-thon in the history of the human race.”
Speakers also hit on Wisconsin’s current budget problems, and the flip-flop of Democrat Governor Jim Doyle on raising taxes vs. cutting spending.
