The Minnesota Supreme Court refused Friday to compel the Minnesota Secretary of State and Governor Tim Pawlenty to certify Al Franken to the U.S. Senate.
The Minnesota Senate seat has been up for grabs since November 4th, when Republican Senator Norm Coleman finished election day in the lead.
Since then, and after multiple recounts and court challenges, the Franken camp has “found” (literally) enough votes to claim a 225-vote lead.
An on-going lawsuit by Coleman alleges 1,725 excluded ballots need to be counted and added to the totals.
